Shawn Whiting is the head of influencers and partners at Rec Room. For those of you who don’t know, Rec Room is one of the leading metaverses in the world, with a total player count of over 62 million people. Shawn is one of the rare people who rode the wave of VR all the way from the oculus acquisition to today, and it is paying off. From doing deals with Mr. Beast to building massive friend groups here in Austin, I am blown away by Shawn’s ability to foster community.
