SKMP Delay this week

Hey y’all,

I wanted to wish you happy holidays and an exciting new year. We will not be dropping a podcast this week. I was trapped in a crazy blizzard sans power, internet, or cell service and spent most of my day sawing up fallen trees and shoveling snow to try and get our cars unstuck. I learned a lot about the seriousness of life and how few things need to go wrong in order to be standing on the brink of collapse.

But, like in all things, time kept moving forward, and I am back on with my life in some normalcy.

I am very interested in the concepts of remembering and forgetting. When I think about trauma, both collective (9/11, Covid, etc.) and individual. There is a massive amount of importance in what and how we choose to remember the terrors of the past. It seems as if we are built to forget or ignore them, but if we cannot learn from them, we are likely to fall into those same errors and issues again. There is something here that I must meditate more on.
