We don't have time for hardware upgrades

Can you imagine the untold carnage that hit humanity the first 1000 years the Homos played with fire?

There has always been a lagging period between our creation of technology and our ability to leverage it.

Fire is a technology that hasn’t changed too much, but we have created a system of best practices around wielding it and we created new technologies that allow us to focus the energy that fire creates, but over 100,000’s of years it has remained largely the same.

We might have actually physically evolved with fire we have had THAT much time with it.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the benefit of millions of years to evolve our human hardware alongside the emergent technology that has appeared downstream of the internet.

The only path forward to wield these massive step changing tools will be via software upgrades and by that I think I mean philosophy. Mental immune response systems, building frameworks to call out our higher nature, and lots and lots of training.

It is almost as if every religion, every philosophy, every sci-fi novel has been preparing us for this moment in time.

The wielding of AI will be done with soul.
